Brett Finkelstein brings an ever-improving all-court game and an unrelenting team spirit to her first year with the Brown Bears. She notched her first career singles win over Anela Dujsic of Rutgers at the Brown Invitational, and first doubles win over Starr/Nguyen of Yale at the Brown Classic with partner Sara Mansur. In juniors, she was ranked in the top-200 nationally, and top-10 in the Eastern section. She was the recipient of the Eastern Tennis Association's Sportsmanship Award, and had her own community service project through the Althea Gibson Foundation for two years in high school. She has continued to improve since coming to Brown, and will be a valued member of the team for years to come. Getting to know Brett Finkelstein: Concentration: Undecided The best thing about Brown is: The location and mix of people I can't imagine life without: My blankey, doggie, and food! The one thing I miss about living at home is: My big bed When I'm not playing tennis I'm: Hanging out with friends or family When I was a kid I thought I would grow up to be: A sports broadcaster for ESPN |
