Brunswick, Maine - After a slow start to the 2007-2008 season, the Brown women's squash team is picking up steam and heading towards a successful season, having won six consecutive matches.. Brown headed to Maine on Saturday and came away with three victories, beating Bowdoin, 8-1, St. Lawrence, 9-0, and Bates, 7-2.

Junior Charlotte Steel enjoyed an exciting win against Bowdoin, earning a 5-9, 9-6, 4-9, 9-4, 10-8 come-from-behind win at number three. Sophomore Laura Pyne also had a five-game win over Bowdoin at number two, taking a 1-9, 5-9, 9-6, 9-7, 9-1 decision in a gutsy match. At number four, senior Minoo Fadaifard came through with a 2-9, 10-9, 9-6, 9-4 victory in four very tight games against Bowdoin.

Brown will host Williams at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Wednesday, March 30, at 5:00 p.m.
