Former Brown standout, Meaghan Harwood, Class of 2004, returns to her alma mater this fall for her first season as an assistant on Carolan Norris' coaching staff.

A four-year starter for the Bears, Harwood was a two-time All-Ivy selection, and was a Second Team Regional All-American as a senior in 2003. Harwood helped anchor the backfield as a senior, guiding the Bears to an 11-6 record and finishing the season with eight points and two defensive saves. As a junior, Harwood was the Bears' second leading scorer, finishing the season with eight goals. She finished her career with 15-4-34 numbers in 66 games.

Harwood has been involved with several field hockey camps, including the Field Hockey Camp at Brown and with White Mountain Sports, in Deerfield, MA. She also participated in the 2003 YES Clinic at the NCAA Tournament that year.

Upon her graduation from Brown in 2004 with a B.S. in Psychology, Harwood left Rhode Island for a job at the Fenway Community Health Center, in Boston, MA and also pursued graduate work at Tufts in Premedical Studies.

Harwood currently resides in Providence.
