 The Rhode Island Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (RIAIAW) has named Brown senior Andrea Posa (Weston, MA) a Distinguished Student-Athlete of the Year. She was presented the award at a reception held at Providence College's Slavin Center on Wednesday, May 7, along with one student-athlete from each of Rhode Island's Colleges and Universities. (MORE)  14 Bears Named to 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad Fourteen members of the field hockey team were named to the 2007 ZAG/National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad. The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year. In addition, Brown was one of 63 Division I teams to earn the 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award. This award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year. (MORE)  Fall Academic All-Ivy Honorees Announced The Ivy League released its fall list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with ten Brown student-athletes being honored. The five females and five males were starters or key reserves on officially recognized varsity teams with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. (MORE)
