PALO ALTO, CA - The 75th-ranked Brown men's tennis team (9-10) opened its West Coast spring break trip with a 6-1 loss to #30 Stanford. The Bears fell behind, 1-0, after dropping all three doubles matches. The Cardinal then won the first set in four of the six singles matches to set up their 6-1 victory. Juniors Sam Garland (Bradenton, FL) and Noah Gardner (Cambridge, MA) both won their first sets at #5 and #6, respectively, with identical 7-6 scores. Garland eventually fell in a third-set tiebreaker, while Gardner earned the Bears' lone point with a 6-2 win in his second set.
