The 2007 season was a tough learning experience at the face-off X for Brown. The men never backed down, though, and Charlie was our best at countering and fighting back. Toughness and attitude describe most good face-off men, and Charlie certainly possesses such. Charlie is driven to be better, in order to earn more time for himself and more possessions for Brown. He has the speed and stick protection to deal well with pressure once he earns the ball...2007: Earned a starting role in two of 13 games played...Picked-up 21 ground balls, including four against Providence when he captured 7 of 9 face-offs....Won 50 of 119 face-offs for the season...Secondary School Background: A graduate of the Belmont Hill School where he lettered in lacrosse (4), football (4) and hockey (2)...All New England selection and team MVP as a senior...Two-year All-League selection...2003 Independent School League Lacrosse Champions...Three-time public speaking champion and school award winner...Head of the Peer leader program...Personal: The son of Charles Kenney and Anne Detmer of Jamaica Plain...Has a sister, Elizabeth...Interested in community service, and a big fan of all types of music...Undecided on his concentration.
