Beth Burlingame '81, Associate Athletic Director for Finance, came to Brown's athletic department in 2006 after three years as Director of Finance & Administration in Brown's Graduate School. She supervises the Assistant Athletic Director - Business, the Assistant Athletic Director - Tickets, the Manager of Equipment Services, and the head coach of men's and women's cross-country/indoor/outdoor track and field.

Burlingame was a four-year varsity athlete at Brown, at one time holding the school record in the women's discus. She spent ten years in financial and investment positions of increasing responsibility at American Express and Fireman's Fund, eventually managing a $2 billion fixed income portfolio. She later founded and ran a small pack and ship business, and earned a master's degree in international business from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.

Prior to her return to Brown, Ms. Burlingame was a Vice President of Venture Investment Associates, a private equity firm in Peapack, New Jersey. She serves on the university's Advisory Committee on Corporate Responsibility in Investment Policies.

Burlingame is a native of Darien, CT.
