Six members of the Brown baseball team were named All-Ivy on Friday after a vote by the League's eight head coaches, led by senior designated hitter Conor Reardon (Branford, CT), who was named to the League's First Team. Joining him were junior center fielder Steve Daniels (Fox Point, WI) and freshman second baseman Ryan Zrenda (Old Lyme, CT), who were named Second Team All-Ivy. Rounding out the Bears' selections were senior relief pitcher Rob Hallberg (River Edge, NJ), junior shortstop Matt Nuzzo (Everett, MA), and sophomore right fielder Nick Puñal (Palm Beach, FL), who received Honorable Mention. 5/14/2008 - M. Lacrosse
The Ivy League Champion Brown men's lacrosse team dominated the 2008 NEILA New England Division I Men's Lacrosse Team, with six players being named All-New England and junior goalie Jordan Burke being named the New England Player of the Year, freshman attackman Andrew Feinberg selected New England Rookie of the Year, and head coach Lars Tiffany earning New England Coach of the Year honors. Sophomore attackman Thomas Muldoon, sophomore middie Zach Caldwell, defenseman Reed Deluca and Burke were first team All-New England selections, and junior attackman Kyle Hollingsworth and senior middie Michael Cummins were second team All-New England honorees. Seven athletes from the men's and women's Track & Field team have earned All-Ivy honors after competing at the Heptagonal Championships hosted by Yale University last weekend. Two women and two men were named to the First Team, by virtue of their finishes at Heps, as three women and one male athlete earned Second Team All-Ivy recognition. (MORE)
